All dogs scratch, but sensitivities, changing seasons and hotspots can induce uncontrollable scratching, which is a problem. Therabis’ Stop the Itch leverages a powerful veterinarian-developed formula to soothe your dog’s itchy skin. Our proprietary blend includes bromelain and quercetin, which protects cells from oxidative stress and helps ease the torment of itching, scratching and hotspots.

Studies have shown natural hemp oil can interrupt your dog’s sensitivity response by interacting with receptors that detect foreign materials, thereby reducing the amount of itch messenger molecules released into the body. Fewer messenger molecules equals less scratching. That’s our kind of math.

“Bromelain, an enzyme derived from pineapple, has been reported to relieve symptoms of acute [inflammatory mediated conditions]. In a double-blind trial, 87% of patients who took bromelain reported good to excellent results.”

Kona is almost 13 and has never suffered from seasonal allergies until this year. She was up all night itching and licking herself, which unfortunately kept me up as well. Her vet suggested I try Stop the Itch instead of the usual prescription medication. After her first dose, she stopped itching and was not licking as much. Within just a few days of starting the supplement, she had stopped licking and itching altogether. And now we can BOTH get some sleep.

As with many pit bulls, Thor has severe allergies, which led to many double ear infections and even a few skin infections, even though he was regularly medicated. Several months ago I discovered Therabis Stop the Itch. That purchase changed Thor’s life completely. Thor is infection free and has been off of allergy pills for some time, he has also started playing with our pack again and no longer spends his days in bed. Thank you for all that you do, I wouldn’t have my boy back if it wasn’t for you!

I mix a powdered product containing turmeric and Hemp from Therabis into Squeaky’s dinner each night to soothe her constantly itchy skin. It works!

Are there any side effects? Will this make my dog drowsy?

The short answer is no. There are no known side effects when dogs take Therabis products.
Regarding your specific question about Stop the Itch, the natural products in the formula will not induce drowsiness.
While uncommon, you may notice an “adjustment period” where there may be temporary changes to your dog’s stool. While the natural products in Therabis have been specifically chosen for their lack of side effects, introducing anything new, such as a change in the brand of food or protein sources in the food, into your dog’s diet can cause an initial reaction as the body adjusts to the new elements in the diet. Because of this, we recommend introducing Therabis to your dog in the recommended dosage amount making sure nothing else new is being added at the same time and allow a few days (2-3) for their body to adjust if needed. On rare occasion there can be some mild gastrointestinal effects (gas, soft stools, etc..) during the first few days. More importantly, we at Therabis make ourselves available to answer any questions you may have, explain what you may or may not be observing, and provide you with all the necessary information to make the best choices regarding your pet’s health.
